This handcrafted statement ring is a piece from part 2 of The Midnight Meadow; a jewellery collection inspired by a midnight sky over fields of green, illuminated by the magical glow of the moon and stars above. This particular piece features a beautiful teardrop shaped Moonstone, filled with shimmering rainbows that dance with colour as the ring moves. Like all my work, it is a complete one of a kind, made using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced stones and environmentally friendly methods.
I have created this ring in a size 8 1/2 to 8 3/4 (Australian size Q 1/2 to R).

💎 MOONSTONE LORE:
Moonstone has been used in Roman jewellery for nearly two thousand years, as the Romans believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon. It has used even longer in the Orient and has always been a sacred stone in India with a special significance for lovers and is a traditional wedding gift there. It was a popular choice for jewellers in the Art Nouveau period, and in Europe was believed to reconcile estranged lovers and to cure sleeplessness.
