This listing is for a dainty Moonstone ring, crafted by hand especially for you. To order, simply select your ring size and preferred setting (either a straight or star bezel wrapping around the stone) from the drop-down menus. I will then intuitively choose a piece of natural Moonstone just for you, using the specifications from your order to create your very own custom ring. Like all my work, each piece is individually made, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced gemstones and environmentally friendly methods.

⦁ 16-gauge (1.4mm) sterling silver ring band.
⦁ Thick 925 sterling silver backing.
⦁ Your choice of either a straight or star bezel (see photo example) around the stone, made from 999 fine silver.
⦁ Polished to a high shine.
⦁ Silver is nickel free.

Moonstone has been used in Roman jewellery for nearly two thousand years, as the Romans believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon. It has used even longer in the Orient, being a sacred stone in India with a special significance for lovers and a traditional wedding gift there. It was a popular choice for jewellers in the Art Nouveau period, and in Europe was believed to reconcile estranged lovers and to cure sleeplessness.
Legendary as 'The Traveller's Stone,' Moonstone is great for protection at night or on the water. It is a great stone to keep during a first love or any new relationship. It helps creativity, confidence and self-expression, and helps its wearer be more successful in their day to day working activities. It is also considered to be the ultimate fertility crystal.
