This listing is for a dainty Hematite ring, crafted by hand especially for you. To order, simply select your ring size and preferred setting (either a straight or star bezel wrapping around the stone) from the drop-down menus. I will then intuitively choose a piece of natural Hematite just for you, using the specifications from your order to create your very own custom ring. Like all my work, each piece is individually made, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced gemstones and environmentally friendly methods.

💎 HEMATITE LORE:
Hematite is a beautiful kind of iron ore that is made up of iron oxide crystals. It has a metallic sheen and comes in a variety of colors ranging from black to grey and silver, displaying a lovely mirror like shine when polished. The mineral is used today for a huge range of things, including creating radiation shielding and heavy media separation. It has also been used to produce pigments for dye and paint since The Renaissance.
Most Hematite that exists in the world today was formed between 1.8 and 2.4 billion years ago. During this time, the Earth’s oceans were rich in dissolved iron, but very little free oxygen was present in the water. A group of cyanobacteria then evolved to become capable of photosynthesis, creating the first free oxygen into the ocean environment. The new oxygen immediately combined with the iron to form the Earth's Hematite, which sank to the bottom of what was then the seafloor and is now mined today.
Hematite is believed to be a wonderful stone for increasing focus, willpower and concentration. It promotes confidence, optimism and courage in its wearer, as well as offering balance, stability and great protection. Benefits for physical healing are also said to be abundant in Hematite, and it is also thought to dispel negative energy and protect you from the negative energies of others.
