This handcrafted statement pendant features two gorgeous stones; an incredible piece of Carico Lake Turquoise that is the most stunning teal colour, and a beautiful vibrant green piece of Royston Turquoise. The pendant setting has been made with a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, fine silver serrated bezels around both stones, and trims, balls and accents all created by hand and hammer from sterling silver. The setting has then been sanded smooth, oxidised darker in parts for contrast, and polished to a high shine. It hangs from a 72cm adjustable black vegan organic cotton cord. This means that it can be worn as a choker, long layering necklace, or anything in between! Like all my work, It is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, environmentally-friendly methods and cruelty-free materials!

Total Pendant Length: 58mm approx.

💎 ROYSTON TURQUOISE LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
The Royston Mining District is located in Nevada, outside of Tonapah. The Royston District covers several miles of mountain range, and is considered to produce some of the highest quality turquoise in the world. Royston is known for its beautiful colours ranging from deep green to rich, light blues set off by a heavy brown matrix or a golden brown matrix. It is also known for the rare blue to green fade that can be found in one rock or cabochon.

Carico Lake is named for its home on a dried-up lakebed in high, cool Lander County, Nevada. It is known for its clear, iridescent, spring green or dark blue-green color which is due to its zinc and copper content. It can also have a beautiful black spider web matrix running through it. The colors and scarcity of Carico Lake turquoise make it a valuable addition to any collection.
