This handcrafted statement ring is a piece from part 2 of The Midnight Meadow; a jewellery collection inspired by a midnight sky over fields of green, illuminated by the magical glow of the moon and stars above. This particular piece features a beautiful rose cut Black Onyx, paired with a shimmering rose cut Moonstone filled with the most incredible flashes of blue. Like all my work, it is a complete one of a kind, made using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced stones and environmentally friendly methods.

💎 MOONSTONE LORE:
Moonstone has been used in Roman jewellery for nearly two thousand years, as the Romans believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon. It has used even longer in the Orient, and has always been a sacred stone in India with a special significance for lovers, and is a traditional wedding gift there. It was a popular choice for jewellers in the Art Nouveau period, and in Europe was believed to reconcile estranged lovers and to cure sleeplessness.
Legendary as 'The Traveller's Stone,' Moonstone is great for protection at night or on the water. It is a great stone to keep during a first love or any new relationship. It helps creativity, confidence and self expression, and helps its wearer be more successful in their day to day working activities. It is also considered to be the ultimate fertility crystal.
💎 BLACK ONYX LORE:
Onyx has served as a bead making stone for centuries. Many ancient cultures, including the Greeks and Romans, used Onyx to carve figures of the gods and heroes in cameos and intaglio engravings, to make stamps and seals and stone inlays and tiles. Today, Black Onyx is thought to harmonise the physical with the spiritual.
