This handcrafted Turquoise Pendant features a brilliant bright-blue piece from the Turquoise Mountain Turquoise that measures approximately 20mm x 16mm. The setting has been made with a solid sterling silver 16 gauge (1.4mm) bail, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing and a fine silver bezel around the stone. The pendant has then been sanded smooth, polished to a high shine, and strung onto a 72cm adjustable organic cotton cord, so that it can be worn as a choker, a long layering necklace, and everything in between! Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods!

💎 TURQUOISE MOUNTAIN LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
Turquoise Mountain is located in the copper rich Mineral Park Mining District in Mohave County, Arizona in the United States. The turquoise is a beautiful blue green seen many times with a golden or brown web. It is a unique turquoise found close to the Kingman deposits. Even though it is so close to the Kingman Mine, it is considered a "classic" mine in its own right because the turquoise is so different in appearance. This stone exhibits a beautiful range of colour from pale blue to lime green in one piece that makes it a sought-after turquoise.
