'The Jewels of Atlantis' - Brazilian Aquamarine, Sri Lankan Moonstone & Mexican Nacozari Turquoise
This handcrafted pendant embodies everything that is magical about the ocean, evoking visions of mermaids swimming against a shimmering ocean floor. In creating this piece, I chose stones that have strong links to the sea, with shapes that fit together like shells laying on the sand.
The stones in this pendant include the most incredible blue Aquamarine I have ever worked with, a beautiful blue Moonstone, and two stunning pieces of genuine Nacozari Turquoise. The setting itself has been made with a solid sterling silver 16 gauge (1.4mm) bail, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, fine silver bezels around each stone, sterling silver trims and accents, and a solid silver Seahorse at its center. I have also hand-sawed a scallop shell into the back of the pendant, both as an extra detail and to allow the Aquamarine to touch the skin when the pendant is being warm. The setting has then been sanded smooth, oxidized, polished to a high shine, and strung onto a 72cm adjustable black organic cotton cord. This means that it can be worn as a choker, a long layering necklace, and anything in between! Like all my work, this pendant is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods!

💎 AQUAMARINE LORE:
Aquamarine is a great stone for overcoming fear. It also aids discipline, perseverance and commitment. Aquamarine is also a wonderful stone for travel, or for trips on boats as it provides protection from the ocean.
The word Aquamarine comes from the Latin word 'Aqua Marinus' which means 'water of the sea'. In history, it was believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck.
💎 NACOZARI TURQUOISE LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
The Nacozari Turquoise mine is a mine in Sonora, Mexico, just south of the Bisbee, Arizona mine and in the same mountain range. Nacozari turquoise can be found in bright sky blue and deep navy blue colors and due to the mine no longer being in operation, Nacozari Turquoise is fast becoming highly collectible as it becomes increasingly impossible to get.
💎 MOONSTONE LORE:
Rich in historical significance, Moonstone was admired by the Romans for over 2000 years, as they believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon.
Legendary as 'The Traveller's Stone,' Moonstone is great for protection at night or on the water. It is a great stone to keep during a first love or any new relationship. It helps creativity, confidence and self expression, and helps its wearer be more successful in their day to day working activities.
