This handcrafted statement ring features a gorgeous piece of luminous green Prehnite that is paired with a beautiful Turquoise from the Turquoise Mountain mine in Arizona, USA. The ring setting has been made with a solid sterling silver 1.9mm twisted ring band, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, fine silver bezels around each stone, and molten sterling silver ball accents. The ring has then been sanded, oxidised in parts for contrast, and polished to a high shine. Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods!
I have created this ring in a size 6 (Australian size L 1/2), but it can also be taken to any local jeweller to be sized up or down!
Ring Face Length: 19mm approx.
Ring Face Width: 11mm approx.
💎 PREHNITE LORE:
Prehnite gets its name from the 18th Century Dutch Colonel that discovered it, Hendrik Von Prehn. It was, in fact, one of the first gemstones to be named after a historical figure.
Above all other things, Prehnite is said to be a gemstone that brings unconditional love. As well as this, Prehnite can protect its wearer, both physically and emotionally. It can aid in Spiritual Growth, and help with visions, psychic abilities and forecasting.
Worn during exams and business presentations, Prehnite can aid with the absorption of knowledge. It can also help clear the mind and be used during Meditation.
💎 TURQUOISE MOUNTAIN LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
Turquoise Mountain is located in the copper rich Mineral Park Mining District in Mohave County, Arizona in the United States. The turquoise is a beautiful blue green seen many times with a golden or brown web. It is a unique turquoise found close to the Kingman deposits. Even though it is so close to the Kingman Mine, it is considered a "classic" mine in its own right because the turquoise is so different in appearance. This stone exhibits a beautiful range of colour from pale blue to lime green in one piece that makes it a sought-after turquoise.
