This handcrafted statement ring features a stunning piece of Morenci Turquoise that is the most incredible shade of bright blue, and filled with a gorgeous grey and caramel matrix. The stone itself measures approximately 16mm x 14mm, and the setting has been made with a solid sterling silver 11 gauge (2.5mm) ring band, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, a fine silver bezel around the stone, and three ball accents made from molten sterling silver. The ring has then been sanded smooth, oxidised in parts for contrast, and polished to a high shine. Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods
I have created this ring in a size 10 to 10 1/4 (Australian size T 1/2 to U), but it can also be taken to any local jeweller to be sized up or down.

💎MORENCI TURQUOISE LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
Morenci Turquoise is often considered to be one of world's most beautiful types of Turquoise, and it originates from the Morenci Turquoise mine in south-eastern Arizona. Although closed in the late 1970's, the Morenci Turquoise Mine produced some of the finest Turquoise that has ever come out of the ground! It is high to light blue in colour, with a wonderful "Birdseye" or "Water Web" matrix pattern, often filled with beautiful Iron Pyrite that looks like Silver, and black iron spiderweb matrix. The name is derived from the large open pit Morenci copper mine, where a great deal of turquoise from. Morenci Turquoise is highly collectible, due to it becoming so difficult to obtain.
