This handcrafted ring features a gorgeous piece of green Malachite that is covered with brilliant patterns across the stone. The stone measures approximately 11mm x 8mm. It has been made with a solid sterling silver 13 gauge (1.6mm) ring band, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, a fine silver serrated bezel around the stone, and a molten silver ball on the end as a finishing touch. The ring has then been sanded smooth, oxidised in parts for contrast, and polished to a high shine. Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand, using recycled silver environmentally-friendly methods and cruelty-free materials.
I have created this ring in a size 8 1/2 (Australian size Q 1/2), but it can also be taken to any local jeweller to be sized up or down!
Total Ring Face Length: 14.5mm approx.
Total Ring Face Width: 8mm approx.
💎 MALACHITE LORE:
Well known to ancient Egyptians, Malachite mines were in use between the Suez and Sinai as early as 4000 B.C. Malachite was also popular with the Ancient Greeks and Romans for jewellery, ornaments and in powdered form, for eye shadow. Malachite was believed to protect against the 'Evil Eye' and to cure against various ailments. Russian Czars used Malachite for ornaments and paneling for their castles, and intricate inlay work.
One of the greatest properties of Malachite is protection, from both the physical and spiritual realm. Other properties include helping one to make change, creativity, enhancing the development of intuition, and to aid emotional healing. Keep Malachite with you to protect you whilst traveling or when undertaking tasks that may take a physical or psychological toll on your body.
