This handcrafted pendant features the most gorgeous piece of blue Labradorite that measures approximately 26mm x 15mm. The stone sits in a setting made from fine and sterling silver, and is paired with a detachable (see below for details) sterling silver Planchette, that has been fabricated entirely by hand. The piece then been oxidised in parts for contrast, sanded and polished to a high shine and strung onto a 72cm adjustable organic cotton cord. This means that it can be worn as a choker, a long layering necklace and everything in between! Like all my work, this pendant is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods!
This piece can also be worn two ways, as the Planchette can be detached from the Labradorite (by gently using pliers to undo the bail), and strung on to a cord or chain to be worn separately!
Total Pendant Length: 62mm approx.
Total Pendant Width: 30mm approx.
💎 LABRADORITE LORE:
The Inuit peoples claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis. In many cultures it is considered to be a Stone of Magic. Often a crystal used by shamans, diviners and healers throughout history, it is recommended for those who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance.
Labradorite is also an excellent stone to be used in aiding self-discovery, as it is can awaken one's own awareness of inner spirit, intuition and psychic abilities.
Labradorite is also the most powerful protector of the mineral kingdom, creating a shielding force throughout the aura and strengthening natural energies from within. It protects against the negativity and misfortunes of this world, and provides safe exploration into alternate levels of consciousness and in facilitating visionary experiences from the past or the future.
💎 PLANCHETTE LORE:
A planchette, from the French for "little plank", is a small, usually heart-shaped flat piece of wood equipped with two wheeled castors and a pencil-holding aperture, used to facilitate automatic writing. The use of planchettes to produce mysterious written messages gave rise to the belief that the devices foster communication with spirits as a form of mediumship. The devices were popular in séances during the Victorian era, before their eventual evolution into the simpler, non-writing pointing devices for Ouija boards that eclipsed the popularity of their original form.
