This handcrafted statement ring features a gorgeous piece of faceted pink Rhodochrosite that is paired with a beautiful Ethiopian Fire Opal, ethically sourced from the Wollo Province in north-eastern Ethiopia. The ring setting has been made with a solid sterling silver 11 gauge (2.5mm) ring band, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, fine silver bezels around each stone, and molten sterling silver ball accents. The ring has then been sanded, oxidised in parts for contrast, and polished to a high shine. Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods!
I have created this ring in a size 9 1/4 (Australian size S), but it can also be taken to any local jeweller to be sized up or down!
Ring Face Length: 22mm approx.

💎 RHODOCHROSITE LORE:
Incas believed that Rhodochrosite was the blood of their former kings and queens that had turned to stone. It is named after the Greek words ‘Rose’ and ‘Colour.’

It is also a healing stone, helping problems with stress and problems to do with the heart.
The Roman historian, Pliny the Elder described the Opal as a precious stone containing the fire of a Garnet, the resplendent purple of the Amethyst, and the sea-green glory of the Emerald. In Ancient times Opal was considered to be the most magical and mysterious gemstone, able to heal the body, provide luck, and strengthen the mind.
Opals help to calm their wearers, easing stress and depression. They are helpful with issues with anxiety, restless thoughts and racing minds, as they center the mind and promote positive dreams. As well as this, Opals are a wonderful protection stone, shielding the wearer from other peoples negative thoughts and energies.
