Dominican Republic Larimar & Brazilian Aquamarine
This handcrafted statement pendant features two beautiful stones; a gorgeous large sky-blue Larimar and a stunning sea-foam green Aquamarine. The pendant setting itself has been created with a solid sterling silver 16 gauge (1.4mm) handle, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing. fine silver bezels, and sterling silver trims and accents. The setting has then been sanded smooth, oxidised, polished, and strung onto a 72cm adjustable organic cotton cord, so that it can be adjusted from a choker to a long layering necklace, and anything in between! The pendants size is approximately 46mm x 19mm. Like all my work, it is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, environmentally-friendly methods and cruelty-free materials!
💎 AQUAMARINE LORE:
Aquamarine is a great stone for overcoming fear. It also aids discipline, perseverance and commitment. Aquamarine is also a wonderful stone for travel, or for trips on boats as it provides protection from the ocean.
The word Aquamarine comes from the Latin word 'Aqua Marinus' which means 'water of the sea'. In history, it was believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck.
💎 LARIMAR LORE:
Larimar is found only in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It occurs where crystals grow together within basaltic lava cavities. The presence of copper in the stone helps to create beautiful translucent shades of soft blues, whites and turquoise. The more intense the blue, the rarer and higher the value of the stone.
Larimar is a crystal that promotes serenity and relaxation. It can help relieve stress, lower anxiety, heal and promote a pleasant atmosphere around you. As a crystal of the Throat Chakra, Larimar can help with communication. It is also regarded as a great stone for singers or public speakers. As well as this, Larimar is thought to be a great stone to help in finding a soulmate.
Please note: Larimar is photosensitive and therefore it is recommended for the stone to not be exposed to extreme heat or light.
