This handcrafted pendant features a stunning piece of aqua-green Tyrone Turquoise and a beautiful Moonstone with the most gorgeous flash in the light! The pendant setting has been made with a solid sterling silver 16 gauge (1.4mm) bail, a thick sterling silver hand-sawed backing, fine silver bezel encasing both stones and sterling silver trims and accents. The setting has then been sanded, oxidized, polished to a high shine, and strung onto a 72cm adjustable black organic cotton cord. This means that it can be worn as a choker, a long layering necklace, and anything in between! The total length of the pendant (from bail to bottom) is approximately 54mm, and it's width is approximately 28mm. Like all my work, this pendant is a completely unique piece made entirely by hand using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, and environmentally-friendly methods.
💎 TYRONE TURQUOISE LORE:
Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man's history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors.
Wearing Turquoise is said to bring strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and good fortune. It is a symbol of friendship, aids wearers while traveling and brings peace to the home.
The Tyrone mine is located southwest of Silver City in New Mexico. The mine has not been active since the early 1980's, so all of the stones available were mined before that time. It is medium brilliant blue in its high grade form. Today, Tyrone Turquoise is valued for both its beauty and rarity and is a real asset to silver jewellery. It is considered to be one of the greatest New Mexico Turquoise Mines.
💎 MOONSTONE LORE:
Rich in historical significance, Moonstone was admired by the Romans for over 2000 years, as they believed it was born from solidified rays of the moon.
Legendary as 'The Traveller's Stone,' Moonstone is great for protection at night or on the water. It is a great stone to keep during a first love or any new relationship. It helps creativity, confidence and self expression, and helps its wearer be more successful in their day to day working activities.
